JELD-WEN strengthens sustainability transparency with new EPDs

JELD-WEN strengthens sustainability transparency with Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) data to help customers evaluate the environmental impact and performance of our windowsdoors and building products.

As builders, architects and homeowners increasingly seek products backed by transparent environmental data, JELD-WEN is expanding its portfolio of third-partyverified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) across both North America and Europe. This global effort reinforces our commitment to delivering credible sustainability information that supports more informed building decisions for customers and communities.

What an EPD means to our customers

An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a standardized, independently verified report that details a product’s environmental impacts across its entire life cycle, from raw material sourcing through manufacturinguse and end of life. For builders and design professionals focused on LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, and other green building standards, EPDs provide a trusted, comparable data source to help evaluate products and select lower-impact solutions.

By expanding our EPD portfolio, JELD-WEN gives customers clearer visibility into the sustainability performance of our windows, doors, and related building products. Further, EPDs can help customers assess indirect greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 3).

A c
oordinated global effort

JELD-WEN has released new EPDs in North America for several major product categories, including a range of architectural interior doors and wood window products. These disclosures encompass many of JELD-WEN's most common door styles and window types, offering customers clearer insight into the environmental impacts of the products they use every day.We are also continuing work to expand EPD coverage to additional product types.The EPDs are third-party verified by UL Environment, aligned with ISO 14025 standardsand provide transparent data on carbon footprint, material composition, and resource use. This expanded set of disclosures strengthens JELD-WEN’s commitment to consistent, credible sustainability reporting across the region.

Across Europe, JELD-WEN has completed new EPDs aligned with EN 15804, covering major building envelope products such as timber windows, exterior doors, and related glazed components manufactured throughout our European facilities. As of January 2026, 76 EPDs are available on the EPD Hub, which are segregated by country of manufacture. In addition, we have contributed to national market EPDs and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for construction products. These EPDs provide transparent, third-party verified data that support European green building requirements by detailing each product’s global warming potential, energy use, material impacts, and end-of-life recovery scenarios.

Behind the scenes: collaboration across regions

Developing EPDs requires close coordinationfrom collectingplant-level data to working with lifecycle assessment experts and ensuring third-party verification. Our sustainability team partners closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality operations across North America and Europe to ensure accuracy, consistency and credibility in every disclosure.

Looking ahead

As we continue to expand our global EPD portfolio, JELD-WEN remains focused on providing clear, reliable environmental data that helps customers build more sustainably and drives innovation toward a lower-carbon future.
